  • Subscription Cost: $5 per month, in addition to your regular Cartrack vehicle tracking subscription.
  • Maximum Entitlements: 6 callouts per policy term.
  • Additional Call Outs: Available at the member’s expense.
  • Policy Capped Limit Per Event: Includes initial towing to the nearest repairer or place of safety.
  • No Carry Over: Unused callouts do not carry over after the policy term ends.
  • Specific Service Requests: Services outside the policy scope will be at your expense, with prepayment required before dispatch.

How does it work?

Cartrack Roadside Assistance is accessed through the Cartrack app, allowing any driver with the app to request help—provided the vehicle has Roadside Assistance activated on the account. To begin, the driver opens the Cartrack app, logs in, and selects the “Protector” button from the feature menu. They then choose the vehicle in need of assistance, confirm or update the driver’s contact number, and verify the vehicle’s location. The app offers multiple ways to set the location, including using the vehicle’s GPS, the phone’s GPS, manual address entry, or adjusting a map pin. Once all details are confirmed, the driver submits the request, and the system sends the vehicle details, contact number, and exact location directly to the roadside service provider for prompt assistance.

Open the Cartrack App
1. Locate the Cartrack app on your mobile device’s home screen or app drawer.
2. Tap the app icon to open it.
3. Log in using your registered credentials.

Navigate to the Roadside Assistance Feature
1. Once on the app’s dashboard, locate the bottom menu or action bar.
2. Swipe upwards to reveal additional feature options.
3. Look for the “Protector” button (Roadside Assistance feature) and tap it.

1. A screen will display a list of vehicles linked to your account.
2. Tap on the vehicle that requires roadside assistance.

1. On the next screen, verify the mobile number linked to the selected vehicle.

  • If the number is incorrect or blank, enter the correct mobile number for the driver.
  • Ensure the mobile number is accurate, as the service provider will use this to contact you.

Review and Confirm Your Location
The app will automatically detect your current location using GPS.

The app provides four options for setting your location:

Default Location: Based on the vehicle’s fitted GPS tracker.
Phone Location: If the vehicle is not fitted with a GPS tracker, the app will use your mobile device’s GPS.
Manual Address Entry: Enter the address manually in the designated field.
Map Pin Adjustment: Drag and drop the pin on the map to the correct location.

Ensure the selected location is accurate before proceeding.

  • The app will transmit your vehicle details, driver contact information, and exact location to the service provider.
